The time to hesitate is through! If you’ve been waiting to jump on board for a door knocking event don’t let this one pass you by!
Labor, working men & women like you will be coming out in full force to support Hyrum and we want you there with us!

We will be providing breakfast and coffee for all participants, so come early to get your plate and your lists before we head out to knock on doors and let West Jordan know why he is the right man for the job.

It will be a ton of fun, and we can’t wait to see everyone there! Click HERE to RSVP on the Facebook Event page.

NATIONAL NEIGHBORS NIGHT OUT

National Night Out Against Crime is held yearly on the first Tuesday of August throughout the City of West Jordan and is a great way to give “Crime a Going Away Party!” Neighborhoods are encouraged to come together and hold Block Parties. The Block Parties are visited by City Council members who are riding with West Jordan Police Officers.

WHAT IS NATIONAL NIGHT OUT?
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August (Texas celebrates on the first Tuesday in October). Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much, much more.

WESTERN STAMPEDE

We have a booth at the Western Stampede, which is the weekend-long annual celebration that West Jordan City holds every year to celebrate the 4th of July . In addition to the booth, we will be walking in the West Jordan City 4th of July Parade! If you would like to join us and participate in either of these events, let us know! We’d love to have you!

SATURDAYS

Every Saturday evening, from the official declaration of our candidacy until elections, we will be canvassing in West Jordan. Because this is an At-Large position, the entire city of West Jordan is eligible to vote for Hyrum, and as such we would like to knock on every door and meet every neighbor. This will only be possible with help from volunteers like you! Let us know you’re interested through the “Contact Us” page on the website, the Facebook page, or a phone call or email to Hyrum or Ashlee.

Neighbors who volunteer to have yard signs are helping by starting a dialogue with their neighbors and friends, and we appreciate them and their efforts!

APRIL 29th

There are always opportunities for residents and community members to help improve the environment, and the aesthetics of our community. West Jordan is hosting a clean up day on April 29th for the I Love West Jordan Workday. Please, if you haven’t already, sign up to participate and join us for a day to take pride in our great City.

APRIL 22nd

There’s something almost therapeutic about working with your hands in the dirt. Relieving stress while beautifying our community and completing an act of service for our neighbors is a great way to spend a Saturday morning. The Mission and West Jordan Care Center is always looking for volunteers to help groom, plant, weed and harvest their garden. The produce grown in this garden is utilized in the facility’s kitchen, and any extras are donated to the Utah Food Bank.

We are putting together a work group for Earth Day, April 22nd at 9:00 am. If you are unable to join us for the work day, we will gladly accept your donation of one or more of the following types of plants:

  • Tomatoes (Heirloom and/or Cherry)
  • Yellow Squash
  • Zucchini
  • Cucumbers
  • Red and Green Peppers
  • Broccoli
  • Watermelon
  • Cantaloupes

Contact us  if you are willing to participate and/or donate!
