My wife and I purchased my childhood home in the Oquirrh Shadows neighborhood so that we could raise our family in the community that I grew up in. I recognize that a great community is not made by a parcel of earth, but by civic engagement, positive neighbor-to-neighbor outreach, and working together so the benefits of that community can be made attainable by everyone.
As a proud husband, father, Union member and lifelong West Jordan resident, I believe that I share the same goals and values of my working class “average Joe” neighbors and can help to make the positive impacts to our community that many are hoping to see.
I believe in building bridges, and bringing people together to achieve the shared overall goals of developing a community that works for everyone. With an ability to compromise, I strive to bring everyone to the table in shared responsibility to create and sustain our way of living. My primary goals as a member of the West Jordan City Council will include
- Protecting your form of Government
- Emphasis on open space and planned growth
- Accessible Transportation
- Public School Advocacy
- Affordable Living
I understand that civic engagement doesn’t only sit at City Hall. Communication and commitment to our community needs to happen from city line to city line, and extend even further to our neighboring townships so that we can build a better standard of living – not only in our backyards, but countywide as well.
This is my intent and oath to serve the people of West Jordan City.
